]]>I felt that although the meeting was productive, it would have been useful to gain some feedback about the proposal. Throughout the meeting, there was discussion regarding the direction that my FMP project could take, possibly being subverted to a project about the sea. It was suggested that research should be directed towards maps and charts.

Halsewell was wrecked against these cliffs, in January 1786 during a southwesterly storm. Storm Franklin provided the same conditions with the wind blowing a force 8-9 with the sea state having 4-5m waves. The wave crashed into the cliffs, some reaching 30m or more.
These conditions do not always give the best conditions for photography and although taking them was fun and presented problems I am not sure they are technically good enough.

]]>The project I planned to work on would have a maritime theme about shipwrecks and wrecking. After the presentation, through the following discussion, some elements were removed to bring more focus and cohesiveness to the planned project. The original idea was too broad may be the grounds for two or three projects.
Colonialism was raised by CP and this aspect is one element that will add to the project that I had failed to include. An example book provided was Anarchy by William Dalrymple, and the work of Olivia Arthur – Stranger was also quoted. Further artists to consider would be Max Pinckers and Michal Iwanowski.
The advantage of the presentation is that this lays the foundation for the production of the FMP Proposal, which is the first piece of graded work that will be assessed against the learning outcomes LO5 Sustainability and LO7 Professionalism.
The next meeting is in the diary for feedback on the proposal that is due in on 14/02/2022
